Hi Everyone,

Joined the site some time ago after reading the books, but haven't been back until now. Recently posted a response elsewhere, but then realized I hadn't introduced myself. Anyway, I live in Northern Cal, but have lived elsewhere in the world as well. I am a radical, but only in the context of the country we live in. I am particularly interested in linkages between different movements and disciplines.

I believe that change will come from critical mass rather than protest and/or violent revolution. I value protest and have participated myself (younger days) but feel that the US population is so jaded and highly disinformed that it is difficult to reach them. OWS has brought some fundamental awareness to the masses, which I see as a possible catalyst for bringing more people and organizations together.

Welcome to the site

Welcome to the site Peter.

I think you're probably right about change coming from critical mass - most change either comes about from critical mass or collapse of the old paradigm (which i think could arguabley be claimed to be the same thing).

The 'occupy' movements have raised a lot of awareness that is for sure - it will be interesting to see where it goes from here - but they are fighting quite a battle against the main stream media.

Anyway, once again welcome - hope you enjoy your time on the site.
