Filming police officers NOT illegal despite what they say
See the below re the law relating to photographing the police, particularly related to Terrorism Act. www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2009/jul/21/police-terror-video-camera-photography
I have seen 'town wardens' harassing people who are simply taking photographs in a public place. Also http://www.not-a-crime.com/ and
http://www.bjp-online.com/public/showPage.html?page=865556 re a photography magazines campaign about this issue. I think it is a good idea to know about this law as it could potentially affect anybody who takes photographs in public, which is probably most of us at some time.
One thing that I have learnt that I think is really important for everyone to understand is that there is a difference between law and leglislation ....a really big one ..law is law and is natural and within us all and its really very simple cause no harm ..loss and don't be fraudulent in your contracts ie keep your word.
Leglislation is a completely different thing it requires the consent of the governed- although this is mostly given unwittingly it needs YOUR consent. Think about it a little imagine telling the laws of gravity that they were going to be changed...remember that everything hitler did was LEGAL...
The law does not change it is what it is...leglislation is perverted all the time in order to further control us. Leglislation for me is to be resisted and the law honoured.
