Off The Grid Man Murdered

So I was sitting at work today, and I noticed a headline news articled titled,

"Gunman killed by Police a Maple Valley landlord"

The main reason why it caught my attention, was because I had caught the words "off the grid" within it. Apparently, this man, Ronald Ficker, had dedicated the past 20 years to living off the grid and fending for himself, to the point where he had built his own house with plumbing and all. So far, everyone who has chose to speak out and talk about how he was says that he was a "nice guy".

Well, according to the claims, earlier this week, his California plated rental car had "ran out of gas" and he has began walking down the road with over 900 rounds of ammunition and some firearms. Passing bystanders had reported that Mr. Ficker had supposedly fired their way, and was brandishing the rifles meanicingly.

The report continues to state how Ficker was headed for an elementary school which was currently hosting an event. This is where Ficker was shot and killed by an officer as he was attempting to scale a fence to presumably get to the school property.

Update

The latest article states that Ficker claimed to have links with the devil. The article read that Ficker had paid a visit to the Police Station with a holstered handgun a week before, claiming that he had an invention that would "save the world", but nothing came of that visit.

The new events of the day had made mention that Ficker did NOT fire at bystanders, yet he was carrying 2 rifles and had a stand-off with the officers before being killed.
